                    Talking and Listening Pacing Grid - TERM 4- 2017    
 Topic: Who inspires you?
Who do you look up to as a good role model?
Who would you want to be like when you grow up?

·       Your job is to complete the following tasks and find out facts about a person who inspires you.
·       This pacing grid will help you to plan and prepare a small amount of information each week.
·       The information from these tasks needs to be organised into a class presentation.
·       The information you gather needs to be placed onto palm cards.
·       You may also use pictures, a power-point and anything you might like to add  to help make your presentation more interesting.
·       We will begin our presentations in weeks 9 and 10.
Parents please note that this is a pacing grid and does not require weekly submission to a teacher.
If you child does require further assistance please do not hesitate to comment on the sheet below on any given task.

Choose one person that inspires you to research. Gather some information on this person. Complete a dot point fact sheet about this person. You can include facts after surveying family members, watching or reading reports about this person’s achievements.

Speech preparation
Transform your research into a speech 2-3 minutes long using palm cards. Introduce your inspiring person to the class.






9&10
Speech presentations in class in Weeks 9 &10.
Speeches are due for all students on Monday Week 9.





    
Speech Guidelines
·       Speech length is 2-3 minutes
·       Use eye contact
·       Include palm cards
·       Use expression and voice projection
·       Visual media is optional but desirable.
