Welcome to Week 10 Term 2

Greetings Year 4 families.
We have finally reached the last week of an extremely busy term. We are very proud of all the children for their hard work and efforts during Term 2 and we wish them all a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.

Despite being the last week of term there are a lot of things happening this week.
Parent / Teacher interviews will take place on mornings and afternoons during most of this week. If you have an interview on Monday afternoon / evening these will take place in the school hall. Interviews on all other days will be in your child's classroom.

Congratulations to the children who have already presented their speeches on their family. We have been impressed with the improvement in the children's public speaking skills. All speeches will be presented by the end of this week. We appreciate the encouragement and assistance you are giving to the children to assist them in preparing their presentations.

On Thursday 29th June we have OLOR Primary Athletics Carnival at Henry Whaling Reserve Baulkham Hills (Roxborough Park) If your child is travelling by bus to the carnival it is important they are at school by the bell. If your child is travelling to or from the carnival by car they MUST see their class teacher when they arrive at the ground and before they leave to have their name marked off. If you need to change your child's travelling arrangements for the day please advise your child's teacher ASAP. Students are welcome to come dressed in clothes for their house colour on the day.
We are looking forward to a fun day with no rain!

There will be no library this week. The children were encouraged to borrow for the holidays when they visited the library last week. Please encourage your child to continue to read regularly over the holiday break.

Reminder - students return to school on Tuesday 18th July. There is a Staff Development Day on Monday of  Week 1 .
Friday is a Mufti Day for the children. There will be a Disco at lunchtime for the Primary Grades. Please see the flyer below.

A request from Mrs Prince for students in 4B

In Health and bike safety 4B are currently completing a research project on cycling paths in the local area.
It would be useful if they could bring in some research materials to assist them.
Maybe a map of the local paths, photos of the cycling paths or information about them.

Some info can be found on 'tracks and trails - the Hills'.

They will be completing this task on Wednesday 14th June.

Also in Week 10- Wednesday 28 th June 4B will be completing their practical session on bike safety. This is the day the children who have indicated they are able to bring their bike/ helmet to school need to do so. Any questions please contact Mrs Prince.
(Please note 4G & 4W will be completing the Bike safety rotation in Term 3 or 4)
Happy & safe cycling ðŸš²
